Used to have carpet in bedrooms up north because I felt it made them feel warmer during the winter months. Home here in Florida is all hardwood and tile, we have area rugs under the beds. Can't imagine wall to wall here but it might work from some

Vinyl plank with runners and a big rug in the family room. The only carpet is in the master bedroom. It will be replaced with vinyl plank eventually.

I tiled my living room kitchen and hallway after a pipe busted under the kitchen sink. Tore out the carpet in the master bedroom and one of the girls bedrooms about a week before Covid hit and screwed everything up. We ordered flooring and they initially said 4-5 weeks. Then they said 6-8 weeks. And then... I don't even remember. Bit I finally said screw it. Anyway I guess I better get on that and get some carpet or flooring. The wife put down a big rub that almost covers the other bedroom floor. Master still concrete. Oh well. Maybe this fall I'll paint the entire house and put carpet in all three bedrooms. If I ever build me a barndo or any house really I will have stained concrete floors with Maybe a rug in the living room. Screw carpet

Everything but two spare bedrooms is hardwood flooring I personally laid myself. I’m weighing removing the remaining carpet and just trying to decide what to replace it with, and whether I have it in me to do it myself. I have the time but probably not the “wherewithal”. I’m gonna research taking it down to the concrete and maybe refinishing that with a covering.

Just a rug under our bed. Terrazzo with tile over it. Floor is nice and cool. We have a dog and a kids. No way in hell I'm having carpet. I can't wait for all of them to GTFO so the house so the floors stay clean.

I was a journeyman carpet layer many years ago and still have an appreciation for warm, soft floors. My present apt. has white ceramic tile floors (500 sqft) and I have 'em 90% covered with area rugs.

Still have WTW carpet in main living room and 2 spare Bedrooms. Had to have carpet when kids were young, cant give horsey rides too well with tile or wood. I dont think Ill replace it with wood after friends horror story. AC handler in attic overflowed while they were gone and water soaked 3 rooms of hardwood. It all buckled and was replaced with tile.
