Maybe.... But given the size of the bird..... That would be a big lizard..... Bigger than anything native that I can think of...
Could be a small iguana It is in South Florida.... But I have never seen an iguana in Inland South Florida....

I’d guess frog leg. (Or what’s left of the blunt that spicer pitched out the window, he might be looking for a light😁) Cool pic, they are neat birds.

Look at the foot... Not Webbed , Long toed , Bird... Loser Bird is my guess. He didn't kill it..It rotted off and he's cleaning up the leftovers. That my opinion after 2 Bowls and 2 Beers and a Shot of Early times. That's usually when I'm at my Peak. hope this Helps..now I gotta go shoot a Bear in the ass..

Good answer.... And if it was a Kestrel, Kite (Swallow Tail or snail Kite) Merlin (a small Falcon) Peregrine Falcon, Coopers, Sharp Shin or even a Red Shouldered Hawk....
I would load in heavy on that.... All of the above birds are FAST and Quick..... Crested Caracaras are larger.... They are pretty fast in a straight line... But do not Manouver well in flight.......
They are sort of Like A 10 Wart Hog Jets... They come in pretty Fast and hit VERY hard.....
And unlike the above birds.... Crested Caracaras do not care..... They will readily eat dead things... so they would pick up a dead dragon fly...
But I think given the size of the bird..... A Dragon Fly is too small to fit..

Whatever it is, that's a great picture. They are very cool birds to see in action. I saw 14 in one day on the old lease in Osceola county. Most I've ever seen.

Sounds like my Beagle. Just how big are those birds John?Bigger than a Red Shoulder Hawk....Slightly larger and built more heavy bodied than an Osprey..A bit smaller than Turkey Vultures, Red Tailed Hawk, a Great Horned Owl and quite a bit smaller than a Bald Eagle.... but all three of those birds avoid them.... They tent to steal prey from all of those species... Plus Ospreys and all of the smaller species above
