Been out there a few times,and run a few deer and even im not interested in hunting it. I did the first ever alligator hunt out there and it want even worth a shit I wish you would post the pic of you hanging with the anti alligator hunting, tree huggers at the ramp that day. That was hilarious.... or when the Feds came unglued when you hopped out of the truck with your six shooter on your side, until you explained the rules to them.  I could not stop laughing. You simply can't make this kinda shit up! |

Nope, a 44 Long Barrell Pistol got everyone's attention when I got out of the truck with it on my side. Had to educate them boys in green as well.

Never ever hears of a rental airboat. OP might be best to take or rent a bass boat/waler/flats boat/pontoon boat to run up the ditch with a canoe strapped on top. Park that boat on the edge then paddle in.

Just follow Meateater around, I’m sure his spots will be well flagged. 😉 i will be at the closest 1 acre spot of dry ground i find with 1 deer track the other area strazulla was a breeze as it had trails and plenty of dry ground and plenty of deer and pigs. i have hunted and fished this area 100 plus times, last time was over 20 years ago so im not looking for a adventure or busting my ass and jumping thru regulations for a deer. i will scout it in a month or so, talk to friends who still duck hunt or bass fish out there and see whats up. one of my boys got me onx couple years ago and ive about got it mastered so no flagging tape needed. |

Why in the hell would somebody drive from Jacksonville that far south to hunt crap. Heck the Georgia State line is only like 75 miles North. I'd go North and hunt a freakin WalMart parking lot before I'd drive way down there to see lot's of Coots and Gators...maybe 2 Does standing there looking at you... I'd much rather hunt a GA WMA than just about any WMA in FL. Fort Stewart has plenty of game and is a lot closer than South FL. |
