In simple terms, Donald J. Trump is a one-trick pony. The entire planet had his brand of "performance art" rubbed in its' face quite long enough. Watching dumpster-fires and train wrecks, over and over again, gets old ... a stale punchline. The people closest downwind got it worst ... 12 Cabinet members either resigned, or were fired. Those who were completely without moorings are still aiding and abetting the madness. But, the general public has moved on. They heard his promises ... "the wall" ... the non-existent "great" healthcare ... and saw Zero results. Remember "Only I can fix it!" America knows that Donald Trump can't fix a flat tire, ... or his own business. The airline, the steaks, the university ... a litany of failure fallen into ruin. "The Pride of Queens" bankrupted Two casinos! All of this has slowly percolated into the collective unconscious. He can only go downhill from here. Jail would suit him, don't you think? I've said it for a year or three now. All Trump has done since 2016 is lose votes. I know a lot of people who voted against Hillary more so than for Trump. And to quote a few of them "I thought he would settle down once in office and sti0 the inflammatory rhetoric". It never happened. The 2020 election was Trumps to lose. What should have been an easy reelection was lost because he simply can not shut up. He can't. He can't help himself. Alienating half the country isn't a way to win votes. With failed delivery of promises the peole who voted against Hillary voted againt Trump in 2020. And he's lost more voters since then. I can look on my Facebook feed and see that the same people who were going to vote for Trump no matter what are still going to vote for him mainly because he's got an R by his name. But there are a lot of the same people who were all in on Trump in 16 and a few for 20 who are strongly silent these days. I know more who won't be voting for him again than ones who have decided to vote for him now. The answer there is zero. I have no delusions of any "land slide" victory. But in 2 elections he hasn't won the popular vote. And I suspect that will continue into this election. Even if the electoral college vote is closer than 20 I still don't see it being enough. Outside of Trump, Republicans have decided that dying on the hill of abortion and a few other got topics is solidly worth it. I can't imagine it going well for them in Florida. And elsewhere. I expect them to get their asses handed to them especially outside the Bible belt. And there might be a couple surprises inside the Bible belt. The sides are entrenched with very little compromise from either camp. I guess we just have to see where the lines fall in November. I do not see it being smooth and peaceful transition either way. I expect violence. I do not want to see it. It actually hurts my heart that this si what it has come to. But I thoroughly expect it no matter the outcome. God forgive us all

Immigration reform is failing Border encounters between ports of entry are near a record high as Republicans derail bipartisan legislation in the Senate Millions signed up for health care Taking the number of uninsured Americans to an all-time low Salary increases are outpacing inflation Job growth in Biden’s first three years outperformed any previous president The cost of living is going down The rapid disinflation under Biden is unmatched in modern history Green spending is booming, but it’s still not enough The goal of net-zero emissions by 2050 requires $1 trillion in transition investment now Families are richer than ever Net worth has climbed under Biden, sentiment needs to catch up Inequality is narrowing A rise in real wages for lower-income workers is bridging the gap The equity market is roaring While bonds are a weak spot Violent crimes, especially homicides, have fallen Biden has encouraged states to use stimulus money on law enforcement www.bloomberg.com/graphics/2024-opinion-biden-accomplishment-data/If you spread this around my vines it would grow some DAMN fine Tomatoes.... If it’s said enough…it must be true.

And it doesn’t increase wages or employment. Plus it doesn’t lower the debt, keep us out of wars, close the border, lower the crime rates or deport millions of illegals. So keep blowing the abortion horn. 😁 By the way my stand on abortion is that it should be mandatory for democrats and in a lot of cases it should be retroactive. 😉

The problem that you and others fail to see in that diatribe you posted is that abortion and the other “few topics” don’t lower the costs of groceries, rent, utilities and other costs of living. Since when has "trickle down economics" and every other Republican mirage' ever worked?
"Lower taxes bring in higher Revenue" How about that line of pure dreck? The suckers in Kansas sure found out!
And it doesn’t increase wages or employment. Unions do that, but of course the Republican party has been union-busting for the past 70 years.
Plus it doesn’t lower the debt, keep us out of wars, close the border, lower the crime rates or deport millions of illegals. America has always been in debt ... the American Revolution was financed By Debt!
America has been at war almost constantly for two centuries. That includes war on the natives, and each other.
As for crime, why not start at the top? Big time tax-cheats, and big time loopholes, screw everybody else.
As for closing the border, and millions of deportations, I have a hard time with both, but it"s not my call.
This will be the third or fourth time I've said this, and it's about time it began to sink in:
"If 51% of the Fortune 500 thought a closed border would be in their best interest, it would slam shut tomorrow!"

Trump told the truth for once.
"I don't want anybody going on me. We need every voter,” he said. “I don't care about you. I just want your vote.”

That's supposed to be a good deal? You getting kickbacks like the rest of them? Ukraine got $61.7 billion in the bill just passed. Might as well have approved the first one and got a little for border security. But I do agree, there wasn't much in the bill to stop illegals. Maybe slow them a little, but it needed to be stronger in terms of telling them to stay out. I still say troops at the border with guns would work. Maybe get some of those rifle toting robot dogs from China.
