He is not a convicted felon and wonβt be one. Anyone with a basic understanding of law knows this thing will be overturned on appeal. The screwups by the judge and prosecutors is epic, and they know it. This trial was done to place a label on Trump for the election and the benefit of the democrats. They know that Biden is a failure and a disaster along with Harris. He was found guilty of felonies by a jury. He is a convicted felon until the conviction is overturned by the courts. He will be sentenced on July 11th for that conviction. Just semantics but I dont't believe he is a convicted felon till after sentencing. Not that it matters.

Could be,it would be historical as a convicted felon would be President for the first time in history. It looks like most Americans have not really had a huge reaction one way or the other regarding this conviction. I think it will cost Trump a few votes. But we still have two debates and 5 months to go. How the economy is doing, foreign relations, fuel prices, and the immigration issue will likely be more of a deciding factor. Biden approval rating still sucks, which is not good for him. It will be a week or so before the real polls (not the Daily Mail shit) are out and we see how this decision has affected voter's opinions. The issue will still be the key battleground states. I am also interested in how the Biden campaign addresses it, so far they have been low key on it. As I said in another post, it will make the debates interesting. This is one of the most interesting elections I have ever seen in my almost 40 years of voting. What I don't get is how people can flip flop on their choices based on an ad or a "debate" or whatever. We have 2 knowns - you know donnie and you know joey. Pick your poison. Let's get it done already. Ever since the televised debates of Kennedy and Nixon, the debates have changed many minds. The debates gave Kennedy the win due to how Nixon and he looked on TV. Many people thought Nixon was pale and underweight. TV has played a major role in who the President is ever since. Nixon was leading in the polls, was a better debater and before the debate many thought he would win both. But Kennedy knew how to play to the camera and won. A major flub, looking confused, angry, rambling, could all be a factor for many in choosing the President. Biden has a disadvantage as he looks older even though only 4 years separate them. I think the debate is Trump's to lose. If he is practiced (which he hates to do) and doesn't go off script (which he loves to do) he should win. Trump's weakness is his off the cuff comments and without an audience to play up to, I do not think it will favor him to ramble off subject. The unknown is going to be the moderator and how he handles it and what issues he brings up to discuss. I think the debates will play a role since many voters are choosing the least worst and haven't really made a firm decision on who is worse. Most voters don't like either candidate. 56% don't like Biden and 54% don't like Trump. that doesn't bode well for either candidate.

Just semantics but I dont't believe he is a convicted felon till after sentencing. Not that it matters. Then he will be a convicted felon on July 12th. I can go along with that. I do think it will be overturned after reading the New York Appeals court gets to review the facts and make a decision based on that and not just the law and how it was applied. New York is unique in that respect and the appeals court is called the 13th juror due to that. I had it at 50/50 before I knew that, that should favor Trump.

Most voters have made up their minds about the Trump Biden choice as they are old hat.
What's new is the abortion issue and that's going to bring about a blue wave landslide.
It will be a reset for all the younger players in 2026.
