I see where Eddie Gossage passed away, 65 years old. He was one hell of a promoter and maybe crazier then Humpy Wheeler.

5, 20, 12, 9, 8 I see where Eddie Gossage passed away, 65 years old. He was one hell of a promoter and maybe crazier then Humpy Wheeler. Also Sad News – Juanita “Lightnin’” Epton MAY 16, 2024 AT 11:42 AM Juanita “Lightnin’” Epton, whose tireless knack for selling tickets with a personal touch made her the longest-tenured employee at Daytona International Speedway, has died. She was 103 years old. Epton was at the ticket window for the first Daytona 500 in 1959, hired a year earlier by NASCAR founder Bill France Sr. while the circuit was still under construction. The speedway’s ticket office was named in her honor in 2022, when she was still on the job. — NASCAR.com — Statement from NASCAR Chairman and CEO Jim France: Lightnin’ Epton and her husband Joe were part of my mom and dad Bill and Anne France’s team from the early days of NASCAR. They were scoring races, selling tickets, and did every other job that needed to be done. The Eptons worked from the Carolinas, coming to Daytona Beach to help with races on the beach, and ultimately moving to Florida for the opening of Daytona International Speedway. She worked alongside our family from the very first DAYTONA 500 through this year’s 66th running of the race, bringing an incredible passion for the track to the ticket office every day. Lightnin’ was beloved by our staff, fans, and drivers alike. Our family will miss Lightnin’ tremendously and our thoughts are with her family and friends as we celebrate her life. Saw an interview with her during Speed week this year.

Congrats fly. You too slough.
Stenhouse was a little hot. I don't think he wants to get on the bad side of Childress, the Dillons and Kyle. They're old school. It'll be interesting to see how Stenhouse gets raced the rest of the season.

Fun exhibition race. Interesting after the race, when stenhouse cold cocked bush and then one of stenhouse’s guys jumped on bush, a pretty strong looking pit guy for bush inserted himself in the melee and backed the guy down telling him to leave, and he did. I don’t think stenhouse actually did much to bush and think bush may have overreacted. Just my opinion. Congrats to you that won. See you next race.

Good race. Stenhouse did clock Bush good! The Fox camera shot, you can’t see the right hook. A couple of other videos on fb and the gram,it was a solid hit. Bush took Stenhouse out for no reason.
