I found years ago that the restored old pickup trucks did not demand the same value as the old cars.
Was going to buy a 39 Dodge pickup around 2000 for $2000. Didn’t pull the trigger.
Anyway they are all nice. It was great being able to work on your own car without $100,000 worth of electronics.

Heck half the new cars don’t even have spare tires as many today can’t even change a tire.

I had a 53. Listening to the start brought back memories except mine was a straight six. Those old vacuum wipers were a treat. Let off on the gas and they went faster. Going up a hill they went slower.

Has nothing to do with the ability to change a tire (although its pretty much true) its more about space and how far run flat tires have come. Too take to new levels, we had a tow truck driver come into the shop this week. He asked if someone could get the vehicle off of the flat bed? Yeah he didnt know how to drive a stick LOL

I miss the days when you could charge a condenser up and toss it to a newbie at the garage.

Just got a lead on a '85 Ford F-150 Lariat 302 V8. Auto/AC/PB/PS.
Been sitting in a carport for 8 years. Was running fine when parked.
Don't know if long or short bed, Fleetside or fenders. Waiting on pics and mileage.
