Good luck to you, never smoked, likely because my dad was a 2 pack a day smoker until sometime in his 40s. One day he woke up, threw away the cigarettes he had, and never smoked again. Colon Cancer still got him at 64.
My grandfather smoked cigars and chewed tobacco until the day he died and lived to 90, so you never know. He said he started when he was 10 years old.

In simplest terms, a heart attack is when part of the heart muscle isn’t getting enough blood. In terms of stroke, there are two main types of stroke, those that block arteries and those that cause arteries to bleed. As a reminder, arteries carry oxygen-rich blood away from the heart and toward other tissues and organs. What Happens to the Heart While Vaping? Just seconds after inhaling the vapor from an e-cigarette, nicotine, other compounds and organic materials are absorbed through the skin, lining of the nose, mouth and lungs and enters the bloodstream. Generally, substances from the liquid solution stay in your body about six to eight hours. During that time, your heart is especially vulnerable. Here's how Dr. Sharaf says vaping puts your heart in danger. Cholesterol deposits. Vaping causes cholesterol deposits in arteries to become more unstable over time and more likely to rupture. When that happens, it can lead to clot formations in blood vessels that may cause a heart attack or stroke. Heart rate and blood pressure. Within 30 minutes of use, vaping spikes your adrenaline, causing increased blood pressure and heart rate, which means a higher risk of heart attack. Artery stiffness. With extended e-cigarette use, nicotine and other compounds in the vaping solution (acrolein) can cause stiffness in the arteries, a contributing factor to heart attack and stroke. Blood clotting. I think the vapes are worse. My wife went to vapes and she steady smokes it. Yep, the vapes are worse. Quitting nicotine can be very hard. It's been years since I quit but I know if I started again I'm not so sure I could quit again.

Tobacco companies have been experimenting with heated tobacco products as a "safer" alternative to burning tobacco as is done today. Not sure how it works, but it is like a regular cigarette, but you don't light it. They also introduced gum, lozenges, and dip pouches that were not tobacco, but still had nicotine. Anything to keep the consumer hooked.

Congratulations. I quit again January 10. Carton of cigarettes about 80 bucks. My Urologist said number one cancer of a tobacco user is bladder cancer.

I quit in 2003, 3 packs a day just sitting in the wheelhouse, did the Welbutrin, done in 3 days and quit the Welbutrin in 3 more..
Smoke a cigar once and a while but no cigs.

Chewed tobacco from the time I was 13 years old until I was 41 and decided I would quit and I did, that was 15 years ago and I would still like to have a chew today, not sure that it will ever leave me.

I never smoked a cigarette in my life, I chewed in my late teens and now smoke one cigar in the afternoon with my happy hour whiskey. I don’t inhale the cigars and know that there is potential for cancer in the mouth but I have decided to take the chance.

$5 carton will kill you just as quick as a $25 carton. It's not the money. More like $60-$70 carton in GA. Gardawg that's how I quit the 1st time. Dr gave me a prescription for patches. Prescription only back then. Lasted 8 years then I started smoking cigars. Then wife started back smoking cigarettes so I did too.

My stepdaughter manages a curb store. She told me the other day Red Man chewing tobacco was $10 a pouch at her store. When I started chewing at 13 years old it was 15 cent.

When I sold in 2022 Redman was $14 and that only a 20% Gross margin. Between tax increases and manufacturer increases it got expensive in the last 10 years. It was cheap until 2010 or so. But all tobacco products jumped in the last ten years.

good luck with this! I quit 3 years ago, although I smoked for 10 years. Nicotine pouches helped me a lot. When I felt like I was going to lose my temper, I used a pouch with the smallest amount of nicotine, such as Zyn. Convenient and fast. Good luck again!

cut back, wean off, drug induced assistance.... Malarky, just quit, never have that only one hit, puff, cigg.... It is going to suck, very bad for a couple of weeks.
Then the chemical dependance is gone. The only thing left to fight is your feelings and own mental weakness. Stay strong. See my sig-line
