Having a salad today with tomatoes from my Garden. BBQ a chicken qtr tomorrow, got them down thawing right now.
Bought a couple of Rib Eyes that were on sale at Publix for the fourth of July. Been a while since I had a good steak. Cook some kind of vegetable and will pick up a Key Lime pie for Desert on Wednesday while Publix has them on sale for dessert.

Grilled cheeseburgers with caramelized onions, and fries. The ground beef came from Winn Dixie and was better than anything we have had in months. Wife doesn't shop there much, but this may change her mind.

Deep fried Queen Snapper. Ground up some Plantain chips in the food processor and used them to coat the fish.

Did some miso glazed Snowy grouper (got the recipe from the famous Japanese restraunter Nobu) and a store bought Asian chopped salad. It was really good. Nobu uses Black Cod(Sablefish) but Grouper made a good substitute.

Thawed a couple ribeyes earlier. Then I wanted tacos. Sliced, breaded and fried the steak. Tossed them in some chili sauce(chicken wing style)and made my tacos. Black beans, tomatoes, onions and queso fresco cheese on top. No pics, it was too good for all that.

yea, i bought the white "sweet corn", was 4 for 4.99 Was very disappointed.
I bought the 5 for $2 corn. 4 for $5 is some expensive corn. Corn has been down this year. $12-$15 a box at pre-cooler and wholesale going $10or less. Some was walked by. Around 50-48 ears in a box.

Last night was " hungry jerk" night. 2#deer, 1 onion, 2cans bush grillin beans, lots of pepper and a can of biscuits. Top with a mustard base bbq sauce(or just mustard) to cut the sweetness of the beans. 350 for 30 minutes. About 45 minutes start to finish. That pan lasted about an hour:

Shame on me. I was too busy for dinner. Stomach thought my throat had been cut. Drove through a burger joint at 9 PM and bought the $1.92 burger. Had water and made for home. Got home and had a small slice of apple pie. Will do better tonight😉

        About a month ago Publix had a BOGO on frozen shrimp and grits. I l took a picture of the bag and went home and saw some reviews on utube. The next day I bought some. Anyway, last night, nobody felt like cooking so I took out the frozen shrimp and grits and cooked them on the stove, but I doctored them up a little adding some butter evaporated milk, and at the end some cheddar cheese. At first, I thought they were not gonna be good because when you take them out of the bag, they are like frozen clumps of cauliflower. With a little patience and a lot of stirring both my wife and I thought they were very, very good and I will buy them again when they are on Bogo. The best part about it is they are made from USA wild shrimp, not farm shrimp from who knows where.

Asian venison over white rice tonight with a side of Brussels sprouts.
Made venison Salisbury steaks, mashed potatoes, steamed cauliflower last night, as per requested by my youngest. Huge hit with everyone.
Tonight will be interesting. Going heavy with the fresh ginger and garlic. Soy sauce, water, honey, sweet Thai chili... substituting vidalias for green onions... we shall see.
