OMG, if you're bowhunting that stand you might bring a fish arrow, might end up with a surf and turf.

Fins, furs, n feathers. What's not to like about a do all tree stand?
Swamp, there are some BIG ass hogs on this property. We've killed a few <120s, but there are a couple legit >350s. Two that I've seen on cam are absolutely huge.
I killed one over 300 at Bull Creek a long time ago while still in high school and these two make that hog look like a hoglet.
We shall see. It's a new to us place to hunt and we're hoping to cultivate it for good deer hunting and more importantly, a good long standing relationship with the land owner.

That’s an old campaigner OMG. Sagging belly and brisket. I’m not a horn hunter but that is a heck of a rack! Biggest I’ve seen on a camera in a while.

He's definitely a keeper. He's on a buddies new lease in Illinois. A lease that does not allow friends or family. Losing.

I'm not sure what's going on around me. The group of 5 shooter bucks I've been watching for months, not a single one of the 5 has been seen in a full month as of tomorrow. Feeders are full, working, and my trough is also full. I had 8 does at one of the feeders this morning but not a single buck in weeks now. I'm perplexed

After the rains my hogs disappeared and the bucks hung out for about 5 days. Then the hogs came back in full force and the bucks left. Still seeing does and fawns.
Being a South FL guy, those north FL deer seem to be way behind schedule!

I'm perplexed On a place I hunt even the does have somewhat disappeared. Just before season we would have 6-10 does at every spot on a given evening. Now there might be 1 if that. An odd year for sure

It's probably a little change in natural feed. I found some fox grapes falling and probably a lot of mistletoe blew out from the storm.

They’re around, just hitting something natural as opposed to the feeders. Acorns may start falling from some species of oaks.

We have wild black berries, muscadine grapes, and AG fields all around us. So I could be they are flush with food and my corn feeders are not on the top of their mind right now. That's my best estimate

Corn is pretty low in protein for what a deer needs.

I see a trend every year. Not everyone keeps their feeders going year-round. But now that we are a month before season, they are all suddenly filled up and running. Gives the deer a lot more dinner options with all the new feed stations................. This among other factors will certainly change summer patterns IMO.

Price of corn fixing to go up, it's that time of year.

No matter how you put out feeders and plots there are always bandits that raid them aren’t there?

Can't really tell. When you check your camera get a better picture and try one of the plant apps. Looks like a plant that that has been fed on before.

That's the plan Cracker. Whatever is there right now, the deer do not pass without nibbling on it.

No matter how you put out feeders and plots there are always bandits that raid them aren’t there? Yup. Coons. Squirrel. Haven’t had a bear yet. And we don’t have hogs. I was able to eliminate the squirrel and coon issues. I bought a large tub of Vaseline. I greased the legs up good. I had video of them jumping on the legs and sliding. Id reapply every visit. Now a year later they don’t even try. I think they ‘learned’

Him and his Bud opted to start coming around again, albeit only in the dark but he’s been inching closer back to daylight. Sep 14 is opener archery. We’ll see if he hangs around and shows himself in the light
