I don’t envy Mr. Johnson. I respect the fact that he is bringing these bills to the floor and letting the people decide. When you have a 2 vote majority in todays political climate you don’t have a majority. I imagine all 4 bills will pass and the representatives can be held accountable by their constituents in November.

Mr Whitebacon, your posts are read and appreciated no matter where they are posted. Us “old men” are reliving our lives and memories through your posts. As a young man I was very successful in some of the endeavors that you post about.However, I’m not the fisherman that you are though. Your fishing prowess makes me jealous. One quick story in the theme of some of your posts. As a 21 year old very muscular guy with long hair that wasn’t quite accepted at the time I was kind of drafted into a popular outlaw type motorcycle club. On my first “run” with the club the women were kind of enamored with me. As soon as it got dark they made a game out of using me for their “pleasure”. It was great for about the first 10 or 15 women. After that I was kind of sore and tired of all of it. They were laughing and giggling and having a good old time. When I began to “disfunction” you would not believe what they were doing to get me to become “enthusiastic” again. I “escaped” some time during the early morning and climbed up into a crook in a tree. In the morning they had a search party going looking for me. We were next to the Kankakee River and they actually thought I had drowned. Well one spotted me in the tree and it started again. Finally I was “rescued” by a few of the older bikers. It was all jokes about the experience for months afterward. I was sore and tired for a few days but I had a memory and a story for the rest of my life. Anyway that is the closest experience that I have ever had to compare with your life experiences. Take care of yourself. -Ken That is a hell-of-a story. I'd trade any experience of mine for that. Wow. Super wow. Jeez, man....great story. Let me say, I've had a great life. But.....four failed marriages, no kids. There is a downside. I run on the swords edge every day, on purpose. I pray, privately, to myself, that God would put me out of my misery, every day. I got my money's worth, for sure, but empty calories. Love you Ken, always David |
