I think "totally underwhelmed" is a good way of putting "I don't give a shit about some stupid eclipse" I am "totally underwhelmed" and could give a shit less. Listening to the news you wou;d think this is the greatest thing since sciced bread.

It depends. Considering it won't happen again in my lifetime.... I might take a look.

Blows my mind that people would spend $ and travel to get in the total eclipse area......I might go out and look with my welders goggles....

Starts getting dark, I will probably get ready for bed. Last time we had one I was out in the pasture and watched the cows and goats head for the barn.

I wish I could be fishing to see if it causes any noticeable difference to the bite.
But I am in an office with no windows so put me in the "don't give a crap" camp.

NERDS
What if a few million people simultaneously pointed lasers at the dark side if the moon? From pocket lights to industrial lasers. Could it be lit up a measurable amount?

Not sure about pics. I can't seem to post em from my cell phone.
The office went outside and used the paper glasses one guy's wife bought for him. Figured it will be along time for the next one around here.
So I don't care but went and looked anyway.

I was blasé about eclipses like ya'll until I saw the full eclipse in N.C. a few years ago and it was indeed one of coolest things I've seen. The totality effects to the temp and the birds etc was quite profound in a micro way. It also makes the witnesses viewing feel humbled about how insignificant we all are. The small crowd of less than 100 we were near on Hiawassee Dam let out a loud spontaneous cheer that sent a thrill up my neck.

I was gonna go to Nova Scotia but I wasn't vain enough. Nothing really changed where I live. Partly cloudy and the sun was covered with clouds. Didn't notice any darkeness at all. Glad I didn't go to the library that was handing out free ecipse glasses as it would have been a waste of gasand time.

Guessing no-one has see totality ellipse before. Very different experience. Much more than looking at the sun...but if its not your thing, who cares.

The only way it might be cool to me would be to see a total eclipse through a kick a** telescope.

It was really Cool at my house last night. We had a great view and it seemed I was just a little closer to Valhalla ... We got the Fire Pit going about 10ish and started smoking this new stuff some Hippie..might have been TampaSpicer came by with some Delta 9 Electric Lettuce. Between them Prerolled weed stompers . Fireball and Early times it was perfect. Just like they said the Moon rolled over at 3 AM and the Sun was peeking behind it. It hid good but we caught flashes of sunlight now and then. All the Owls were Hooting and we were singing old Hank songs. What a great Solar Eclipse...

Some synthetic bull shit derived from the hemp plant they sell at gas stations. LOL

I took a pass on looking at it. Had a customer who hurt his eyes once looking at a partial eclipse.
