I'm shopping for a UTV for hunt camp. My budget won't allow top end. Have been considering the Landmaster L7 (600 cc) , or the Tracker 800 SX LE (800 cc). Both in the same $16K range. Landmaster is more basic with top speed of 34 MPH, with the Tracker with speed of 40's to 50's. Landmaster service and parts appear to be accessible, where Tracker is basically at Cabelas. I don't need to be speeding around woods but sometimes the extra power will help in slop.
Has anyone had first hand experience with either of these machines?

Bought a Honda Pioneer last year for $13k. Haven’t priced them this year but would think $16 would still be doable.

Thanks dog. Get tired of reading reviews. Like everything else 70% love it, 30% have issues or just complain. Think sometimes people just don't know how to use sh&t.

I'd ask how you intended to use it. If it's just back and forth to the stand, or if it is going to be used for filling feeders, pulling a small trailer to move stands, etc. When I bought my first one, I only thought I'd be using it to get in and out of the stand, and a 700 was plenty. Now I have a bigger sxs and find it is a lot easier to pull a small trailer with all the feed / fence etc and don't put the offroad abuse on my truck. And, you can seat 4 to help do the heavy lifting!

Yea Mike that's usually what happens. I will be pulling a small trailer to set stands and feeders and keep them full at new hunt club.

Include in your search used (if so inclined) bobcat (polaris) brands from places like united rentals and such. Gator, mule. Kubota

A dealer/repair shop in Georgia said he can’t make any money repairing Honda’s, as they don’t seem to come back for repairs. Honda would be my recommendation.

Battery carts are short lived and expensive and need electricity all the time... gas for the win

I picked up an early 2000s EZGO with an aluminum frame that was already lifted. Dropped in new batteries, changed out the motor for a high torque edition, added a bull and LED bar too. Need a place to secure it before taking it up to the farm but soon to come. Should suffice for my spot.

An electric cart is the cats ass for slipping in the woods and getting to stands. Nothing better than an evening R & D excursion. R & D stands for riding and drinking of course.
That said, they won’t work for heavy duty use such as pulling trailers full of corn through the sugar sand and mud. Need gas for that most of the time.

Less cargo just means more R&D trips

I use a Kubota here on the farm and when I go to the camp. Not fancy, but a workhorse. Lot less trouble with it than my wife's EZGO electric.

Kubotas are a workhorse, but since they are diesel, they are a lot heavier than others. In bad mud, that can be a disadvantage.
