Id like to know why he is so positive. Seems it could a military airplane...lots of WW2 activity in that area. Romeo says that his sonar image of an aircraft-shaped object in the Pacific Ocean may well be Earhart’s Lockheed 10-E Electra — and experts who have viewed the image say it’s worth investigating.

Every plane I've ever seen ditch in the ocean was in a million pieces about a half a second after they hit. I had a place in Redington Beach three doors down from Mary Ann. So I know she made it home safe. |

It'd be interesting to know. And if they recover it they may be able to tell what happened or if she was shot down or just crashed. Not gonna be any life changing revelations though

More than likely they ran out of gas.
There was a stiff headwind when they took off.
The "wreckage" is about 3 miles deep ... small wonder the plane disappeared.
