So I can stand out back and run 6 shells. 3 rounds/ 2 times. No problem. Put a couple damn ducks in my face and biatch won’t cycle. (Like 3 out of 4 times) I’m frustrated and liable to return to my 870. just venting.

I have that problem with my Winchester 12ga pump. If you pump too fast you eject the shell but don't seat the next one.
I love my side x sides. The third shot is the wounded bird...

It’s a Rem V3. It’s a new problem, haven’t had any issues in 3 or 4 years. I just started shooting it while my kiddo is enjoying the new SX4. No idea, shells are only making it half way in. I broke it down twice now and I’ve been running a few different loads just to see. Same results

What is the condition of your magazine spring? Is the gun ejecting the first fired round every time?

I took my SBE to a gunsmith to have them look at the recoil spring after I had problems with shells cycling . Spring was fine and he did a total breakdown cleaning. Runs like a champ now and didnt cost very much.

I’m thinking it needs a good cleaning or maybe a new gas O-ring (if it uses one) on the mag tube. My 1100s would behave similarly after about three years of serious shooting. Keep us posted.

Yes, spent shells eject fine. The bolt is just not seating. I ran a couple off the porch last night and it hung up twice. I’m going to soak everything and brush stuff down tonight and try one more time. I really like the gun, super soft recoil. Possible I may have overlubed things a bit after sitting in the rain a couple weeks ago but it was doing it before that.

Micciman keeps amazing me with his sheer lack of knowledge about the people on this forum, who might know whom, his lack of sense of humor, and his arrogant, idiotic assumptions about things he thinks he knows.

Yep - I thought your comment to ogbohica was funny. I also know it appears from both your interactions, you and he have some miles together in some form or fashion. While I don’t often agree with him, I do wish him well and enjoy an occasional verbal joust when appropriate.

I played football against Bohica in high school and college. He went pro after that. I got broken up right out the gate my freshman year at UF. However, I have a winning record against him of about 80%, and that ranges in all sports from football, baseball, to hunting. I'm also a year older and much wiser than him... Go Gatahs!

I've had a stoeger 3500 for about 8 years now. Took a lot of bashing over the years from friends that have higher dollar pieces. Long story short when the ducks or geese pitch in I get boom boom boom every time. Lotta times I hear my buddies complaining about theirs. My 3500 cycles everything which is not always the case with other brands no.matter what they claim.

Any wear or binding in shell lifter? I've had that happen before. But I know a jedi gunsmith. I think Yoda taught him on alderon.

Son, you should worry about that gun of yours that doesnt cycle very well anymore. And im not talking about the one used for ducks

Good one Dr.G😂 I actually have shot mine that way when it got dirty. Had the recoil spring break and it wouldn’t even eject one shell. Had to disassemble to take the hill out. I just get it cleaned and install a new o-ring every two years and boom - just like new. Of course that was when I was bird hunting a lot.

I had the same issue with my rem 870. After the Gunsmith took it apart said everything looks fine. Told me to spray G96 on the first few shells before loading and that should fix it. I coated first 5 or 6 shells with a decent amount and all cycled through, no issues, and no issues since.

Fractured a vertebrae in my back with compression injuries, and blown out ankles that have plagued me since 11th grade. I'll let the all broward county kicker and punter tell you his story of constantly missing wide right at FSU and still making it to the NFL. I think he's still buddies with some college head coach out in Colorado too.
