Just made up 6 pounds of meatballs. Cooking 1/4 now and freezing the rest. Should be good for the next three or four sketti/ ravoli dinners. I'm drooling while they are cooking waiting to see how they turned out

Today......started the day walking a stand to see if it can be burned tomorrow (Monday)......
8:30 the 20 odd folks from the St. Johns County Master Naturalist Program started trickling in. Spent the next 4+ hours discussing/viewing timber management, conservation easements, the Florida Wildlife Corridor, prescribed fire and the Tree Farm System. Plus discussing the value of recreational hunting to private lands and the management of those lands.
Once they were gone, and a 10 minute nap pounded out, ran back to the stand we plan to burn Monday and inspected the fire lines ( WET! ) further and checked the duff.
Got 4-wheelers gassed up and their water tanks filled. Hauled the chainsaw, fire rakes, shovels, drip torched, fuel and all the rest over to where we're going to burn and then worked on the PTO unit for spraying.
Finished up by finalizing the burn prescription for tomorrows unit and rounding up a crew.
And......now.....messing with the forum......

I'm having the mud and cow sheet cleaned off my truck after yesterday's turkey hunt.
Next stop is my kitchen to shred potatoes for ho-made hash browns for later this eve.

Took the dog to training again, getting there. CGC test in three weeks.
Things are slowing down as I get ready to move into retirement. Except decided to buy a new house and have to deal with all the HOA BS for the fence, patio extention, enclosure etc. Life is good.

Today I ran 3 miles and practiced my tennis game with my tennis ball machine. The machine beats me every time. I can't run 1 mile, never mind 3. Played 1 game of tennis and it was fun. Then everyone else I played was whacking the balls where I couldn't get to them. Lost it's charm. Does seem like a fun sport if someone just wants to whack the ball back and forth some.

My wife is the big tennis player in our family. I played a lot when I was younger but not so much these days. The ball machine is good because it will only hit the ball where you want it to go !!!

trying to figure out the easiest way to lift the body off the frame of the jeep. Don't own nor want to buy an engine hoist, which would be the easy solution. I own some pipe stands that would support the body once I get it lifted. May spend $250 and buy a Harbor Freight engine hoist before it is over. Tried to find a used one and everyone wants $300 for used ones.

Be careful and don’t get hurt. Safety first before cost. Engine hoist and proper stands will be cheaper than hospital bill

Better take cyclist up on his offer. My generation was all about shade trees and oak limbs with a few chain hoists. Lift engine out, move body on wheels and lift body off. However a HOA may go ballistic on you😉

Flew from FLL to Biloxi and then spent time setting up the hotel room bar. Fiji water brings me good luck (sometimes)🙄

Cut the yard, put out a low nitrogen/high potassium fertilizer, and sprayed the yard with RGS (Root Growth Stimulator). Wanted to get all this down hoping it's going to rain this afternoon.

So far, picked up the engine hoist from Cyclist, bought three Blueberry bushes and two Azalea bushes, and planted and watered them. While out running around, ran into the evil Girl Scouts and had to buy some Girl Scout cookies. Now I'm drinking my V8 juice for lunch and deciding what to do next.
