Yesterday......chainged the oil in one truck, finished fixing the tractor.....actually a patch.....mix drip torch fuel ( the old oil ) spent a few frustrating hours trying to get 28 acres of site prep to burn, which was a fail.
This morning.....so far.....printed some maps so Louann could go hold our foresters hand while a crew planted 20,000 slash pine on about 32 acres. I'm off to help a friend plant long leaf on a sand hill restoration site.

Went to change out a bad trim tab switch and what should have been a 15 minute job turned into a 4 hour exercise due to Amazon sending me a switch with the correct model number, but the wrong switch in the pkg. When I finally figured it out with some help from Bennett support it was cocktail hour.

I went to remove a hose off an outside faucet and the hose was stronger than the copper pipe holding the faucet. Broke off inside the concrete block. Had to chip out some of the concrete block around it to get to the pipe, clean it, could not sweat a new fitting due to small space, so went with a sharkbite with a pipe thread end, and then a PVC Tee to add a new faucet and allow me to run some PVC out to the vegetable garden instead of using the hose to water it. Tomorrow I will gig a trench, bury the pipe, and make it easier to water the garden. also have to patch the hole in the concrete block wall. Thinking of filling it with great foam and use concrete patch on the outside. Next week I have to clean out the weeds, buy some garden soil, and get ready to plant for spring. This weekend it is supposed to rain, so will work on the Jeep a little. Yesterday was potato planting day. Just thought about it reading cads post. Got to get busy tomorrow. I planted cabbage for the first time end of August unaware it took 6 months for them to mature. Waiting on them right now before I start the spring stuff at the end of the month. Going to try some tomatoes, corn, peppers, and watermelon.

Waiting on them right now before I start the spring stuff at the end of the month. Going to try some tomatoes, corn, peppers, and watermelon. I just replanted some more beans, cucumbers have been started for a few weeks, Seminole pumpkins started, big tomatoes planted in buckets, cantaloupe, peppers, and onions as well. I still have tomatoes, bell pepper, collards, mustard greens, carrots, broccoli, and spinach growing. I'm going to plant more peppers, beans and okra behind the greens soon. I have a potatoe box about done and will plant that soon. Once summer gets here I'll prep my raised gardens for the fall.

So let's all pretend I'm lying. Two straight up lesbians raped me today. Still here, in my bedroom. Not sure how to handle it. I kinda like the one chick. They're both gorgeous. I'm just at a loss. Just bust my butt all you want. I don't normally shy away from women. Holy heck......not sure how to fix this. They are completely passed out laying next to me. Not a problem I want to face at daylight. You should have called TRT. he would have hopped a red eye flight and bailed you out.

I'm off to help a friend plant long leaf on a sand hill restoration site. I get tired just reading about your days. I'm not sure about this.......but I think, at least based on what my grandfather drummed into us......that we are built to move, that we function better and last longer when moving. And most importantly we are useful to ourselves and society as a whole when we are moving.............. Whither he was correct, and whether the movement is based on a genetic predisposition or a choice is impossible to ascertain.....but it does feel good to work, to accomplish, to interact, to make things happen. Though, that raises the old philosophical question of self interest.........and now I've lost myself so will go wash the dirt from planting trees and working on the PTO pump off or me and lay down with a book.

Spent 6 hours finishing up the last of 2000 long leaf that we started yesterday......the final bit of planting being in the rain.
And then drug my feet getting from the farm to the house to be sure the "Unicorn Birthday Party" for one of our granddaughters had cleared out before I got back to the house in Fruit Cove.
WAY TOO MANY CHILDREN FOR ME!!!!!
The "Little People" strike fear into me........so....unless it's one at a time I have to deal with....I steer clear.........

Was on a ladder at 8:00 this AM cleaning my gutters before the rains come through. FYI, it still hasn't rained a drop in Sarasota today. Had to take the bulldog to the vet to recheck a corneal ulcer he has been battling for 5-6 weeks, but it is slowly healing. Crappy night of sleep last night, so I did take an 1-1/2 hour long nap this afternoon.

I like those kid parties. The children aren’t dropped off, so the good looking moms wind up staying and joining the party. Little children tickle me to death with their antics. They laugh with their entire being and just make us happy.

Went to the reef and got dinner. Cut it short as the predicted 5 -8 mph breeze was actually closer to 15 - 20. Cleaned everything, made a cocktail and chilled with some friends.

Cleaned the crap out of my house...finally. Since the Bride passed away I've turned it into the Hunt Camp , Bachelor Pad and it shows.Dog don't care if he eats off the floor.. Been spending a lot of time at the new Gals house and it's new and spotless. Made mine feel like Crap so now that I'm home for a few days to recharge my semen I got to it good. Figure I'll do it again next year..

Went and looked at some land near Madison.
Might pull the trigger, wife is okay w it, looks good to me, dad went and he doesnt have any comments. It is between a farm and a hobby farm. Thick. Lotsa deer sign - nice but not a requirement.

Drove to Sarasota at the Nathan Benderson Park for a puppy class. There was a rowing competition taking place that had attracted a lot of people. There was also a busy playground and a Karate class in progress. Needless to say the dogs had their work cut out for them. I didn’t do a nose count, but I have been told there were 14 dogs and they handled the distractions well. On the way home, diverted to Dunedin and had the best cheese steak south of Philadelphia, Delco's

That place is packed with events and it's just going to get worse with Mote Marine and additional businesses building there.

Didn’t do much today because of the rain. Did a couple loads of laundry. Met my son for lunch. Cleaned the house a bit. Threw the ball and frisbee for the dogs when the rain permitted . Then set on my ass.

Ran 4 tanks of gas through the pressure cleaner Cleaned the neighborhood? 4 tanks is not 4 gallons, right? No it's about 2 1/2 gallons. Not a big pressure cleaner. I did buy a rotating head for it, I think it's called a turbo nozzle from Home Depot. Wasn't expensive but it works great. It spins around and gives you a wider path. It will also cut the crap out of you, I got some gas on my hand while filling it up ,knew better than to wash it off with pressure cleaner so I sprayed the house and washed my hand in water running down wall and slipped with the wand and went into my hand. Bandaged it up but bled the rest of the day.

Started the morning in Hampton locking one bear trap, the one with a bear, and setting another. Then ran over to where we burned yesterday where I met Louann and we loaded up the 2 4-wheelers we'd left with the crew when we had to bug out early last night to go set the bear traps. Once the 4-wheelers were loaded up we drove over to Orange Springs where we helped with another burn. And just for fun......not long after we got there I had to make a trip to Interlaken for PARTS to repair the pump on one of the 4-wheelers. And yes.......it was working when we left it last night...... Burn went well......except....because we were burning up by a county road we had to spend WAY MORE TIME on mop-up......I hate doing mop-up.... Loaded up the 4-wheelers and ran back to Palatka........where a COLD PABST was NEEDED!!!Short clip of one large snag.......... And tomorrow.......most likely.......well......a lot depends on the bears. But I'm guessing it'll be another confused mess......but fun........

Couple days ago I replaced a rolling gate opener. Only thing that was the same was the chain, and it was too short. But new opener is a lot better. It is a little faster and remote will open it from my shop. Old one I had to walk half way out get it to work. Yesterday I picked up a Mini Slit for the bedroom, It sticks out from the house to the south and gets sun on 3 sides so it is hard to cool it at night. Built a set of brackets to hang condensing unit yesterday. Wish I had a core drill for the hole fore the lines but I don't so I guess it will be a bunch of little holes and a hammer and chisel. I'm too cheap to pay $100 to rent one for 4 hours.
